PXC is back in the Philippines on May 18th for their 37th show as they once again, feature top talents in the region.

Two of the most physically intimidating bantamweights in the PXC are set to face each other at PXC 37 as Team Lakay’s Troy “The Hunter” Bantiag (5-1) will face a massive bantamweight fighter in Trevin Jones (2-2).

Bantiag, who has a 5-1 record as a pro MMA fighter (3-1 in PXC) aims to win against Jones to get himself closer to the title contention and extend his win streak to 3 straight fights. With the perfect fight team helping him, a scary punching power and unbelievable athleticism, Bantiag has all the ingredients to become PXC champion and the future superstar of Filipino MMA.

The Hunter is coming off a jaw-dropping TKO vicory over Hawaii’s Tony Reyes in February at PXC 35 in Manila. A win over Jones will put him a step closer into the PXC bantamweight championship. There are no shortcuts for this kid; all that he has right now are results of hardwork in the gym. Now he is up to face another challenge in Jones and for sure, he will be 110 percent ready come fight night.

Trevin Jones, on the other hand, looks to redeem himself for this fight. Fresh from his unanimous decision loss in the hands of Kyle Aguon last March at PXC 36, Jones aims to get back into the winning column by taking on highly talented Filiipino fighter in Bantiag.

Jones is known for his never-say-die attitude and powerful take-downs. He also got heavy hands that can put anybody to sleep. He is a threat to anybody in his division; all he needs to do is focus his mind and body into the training. His explosiveness is second to none and his cardio is proven over the years.

PXC 37 will be headlined by a bantamweight championship fight between Crisanto “The Slugger” Pitpitunge and undefeated Japanese fighter Michinori Tanaka. It will be Pitpitunge’s first-ever title defense and his first fight in almost a year. So it will be an interesting fight to see as the striking specialist from Team Lakay, defends his belt against submission specialist from Reversal Gym Yokohama Ground Slam.

The first fight of the said tourney is set between 808 Top Team’s Nate Thorell and Korean Top Team’s Jang Yong Kim. The second fight of the tourney is set on August in the Philippines as Mark Striegl faces 22-year-old Shooto champ, Yusuke Yachi.
