Filipino MMA Superstar Eduard Folayang is currently in the U.S to further hone his Jiu Jitsu and Wrestling game.
Folayang and his team mates at Team Lakay are known for their superb striking and unbelievable endurance. But in their recent defeats, it is evident that their is an improvement needed when it comes to their ground game.
Team Lakay is currently the most dominant team in Filipino MMA and placed third in the entire Asia. Just imagine if Eduard comes back in his hometown Baguio and share what those wrestling and BJJ techniques he has learned in Drysdale Jiu Jitsu; they will become more deadly in any aspect of the game.
After training at Drysdale, Folayang told MMA Orient that he visit Reign Training Center for a three-week training with Fil-Am UFC fighter, Mark “The Filipino Wrecking Machine’ Munoz, who happens to be in the Philippines as of this writing for a UFC media tour scheduled on March 10 at Mall of Asia.
A lot of Filipino MMA fans, especially Team Lakay fans are excited to see what will be the result of Eduard’s training in the U.S. For some Filipino fighters, it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to train alongside some of the best grapplers in the business today. Same as in the case of Eduard Folayang, he believes that God gave him this opportunity to train thousand miles away from his homeland and he will surely make the most out of it.
I cannot wait to see him fight after his U.S trip.
