Jerome “Torogi” Wanawan (3-0-0) of Team Lakay is one of the most athletic and gifted fighters in the PXC roster. Jerome will be making his second appearance in the Guam-based MMA  promotion, Pacific Xtreme Cobat (PXC) , taking place at the historic Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City, Philippines for PXC 34 against Submission Sport Philippines’ own Eugene Toquero (3-0-0).

Wanawan is a Mountain Province native, who is a former boxer who fight to earn cash for his family. He began his MMA career in 20010, beating Charlemagne Pakeo-an via unanimous decision.

Since then, he has won his last two fights, the most recent being in his triumph over a Victor Torre at PXC 33. With such an impressive record, Wanawan does not boast or talk trash, but is a quiet individual and a very humble warrior.

Wanawan is slowly climbing his way up in Asian MMA rankings to establish himself as one of the top fylweight prospects in Asia. There’s no doubt this guy will be an MMA superstar in the Philippines in the coming years. I consider this guy as the John Dodson of the PXC due to his freakish speed and tremendous power.

Jerome is two days away from the biggest fight of his MMA career. He is facing a fighter who’s gifted and strong as he is in Eugene Toquero. This fight between Wanawan and Toquero is going to be quick because both guys are always looking to finish their opponents early in the fight.

“I am ready, I will give a good fight for the fans.” said Wanawan.

Both guys are undefeated, they don’t want to give up their unblemished record, that’s for sure. So expect an all out war between these two great athlete!

Don’t miss PXC 34 on Saturday, November 17th at Smart Araneta Coliseum!
