When Will He Fight Again?

For many that compete in mixed martial arts, mastery centers on one’s commitment to their duties of becoming great fighters. Practicing, testing, and learning are all a part of the stages of development helping in the ascension.

Since starting his fighting career, architecture graduate Rey “The Punisher” Docyogen seems to fit this analogy perfectly. Driven, hungry, and humble these attributes have allowed Docyogen to excel rapidly up the ranks in his ultimate quest to reach the top.

Fighting has a tendency to bring out the best in an individual especially when it is fueled by outside life personal motives. Team Lakay’s Docyogen is one of those rare selfless competitors that are hard to come by in this sport.

Docyogen has been undefeated since 2006, impressing fight fans not only in his home country, The Philippines, but also around Asia. Eight of his ten wins came via stoppages and two via decisions. He is the current URCC pinweight champion.

Docyogen’s like the Anderson Silva of the pinweight division (119 lbs.) in the longest running MMA promotion in the Philippines, URCC. Docyogen is just a puzzle that no one can solve that’s why people call him “ The Punisher” because he is punishing every single opponent he faces inside the ring.

It has been months since he signed with One Fighting Championship, and it was rumored that he’ll make his One FC debut against Andrew Leone at One FC ‘Pride of a Nation’ but unfortunately, it didn’t happen.

His recent fight was against Rodel Orais eight months ago which he lays one-sided beating on Orais.

Andrew Leone has been calling out Docyogen for months, letting One FC officials know that he can beat Docyogen.

I personally would like to see this match-up because two equally talented guys will try to beat the hell out of each other.

Leone is a perfect opponent for Docyogen, I think Leone has already faced and beaten two of the best bantamweights in Asia, Kyung Ho Kang and the newly crowned One FC bantamweight champion, Soo Chul Kim. So I don’t think Docyogen vs. Leone would be a boring fight.

Is this fight going to happen? I hope so. I’m a huge fan of both fighters and would love to see them on December at the next One FC event.
