Soo Chul Kim showed why he’s one of the best bantamweight fighters in the world by stopping a dangerous fighter in Leandro Issa in the second round of their fight to become the first-ever ONE FC bantamweight champion.

When Kim and Issa first met, It was Issa who dominated Kim from the first to third round. But since then, Kim showed us that he has insanely improved his game and has beaten some of the best bantamweight fighters in Asia. Now that Kim is the ONE FC bantamweight champion, I think he’ll just wait for the ONE FC Bantamweight GP to be over to determine who will be his opponent for his first title defense.

Kotetsu Boku showed the heart of a true champion by coming back strong in the third round and stopped Moreira via TKO. Boku dropped Moreira in the first round but the Brazilian’s BJJ helped him recover. In the second round, it looked like Boku is breathing heavily and he always throw wild punches. The second round belongs to Moreira, who is beating Zoro with knees and punches to the head. In the third round, Boku threw a huge right hand to rock Zoro. Boku wasted no time and followed it up with more wicked punches until referee Yuji Shimada forced to stop the fight.

In the main event, Shinya Aoki didn’t waste any time and submitted the French fighter in the very first round via leg triangle choke. Aoki just showed us that he is the no. 1 lightweight fighter in Asia and why he is the most dangerous fighter on the ground.

After finishing Lepont, Aoki immediately calls out Boku to challenge him for his title. In my opinion, Boku vs. Aoki will sell a lot of tickets in Tokyo. But ONE FC just told us a couple of weeks ago that Folayang is assured of the no. 1 contender spot for the ONE FC title. I cannot wait to see Folayang versus Boku!

Melvin Manhoef showed why he is called “No Mercy” by knocking Kawamura out cold. Manhoef cemented his first ONE FC win via an impressive fashion.
