8 December 2011 – Indonesia: Asia’s largest and most prestigious mixed martial arts (MMA) organizationONE Fighting Championship™, has sold the exclusive television broadcast rights to air its content in Indonesia to the nation’s largest and only integrated media company, Media Nusantara Citra (MNC). The content is slated to air onMNC’s free-to-air and highest rated sports channel, Global TV.
Global TV will be the only television channel provider to bring ONE Fighting Championship™ every month, to viewers in Indonesia on its 30 transmission sites covering some 200 cities and towns across the country. This will be the the largest broadcast of MMA in Indonesia. ONE Fighting Championship™ will also be hosting its first ever event in Indonesia on 11 February, 2012 at the Kelapa Gading Sports Mall.
FOBI (Federasi Olahraga Beladiri Indonesia) was established more than 10 years ago and the organization’s contribution for the sport of martial arts has been well known throughout Indonesia.
